The town hall of Castell-Platja d’Aro has initially approved the Partial Urban Plan SUR 3–Expansion Port d’Aro. It envisages the construction of a marina connected to the existing one, with 350 moorings, the preservation of the current pine forest of the first line of the sea, pedestrian walkways to cross the river, a river promenade parallel to the river and areas of housing, equipment, parks and urban gardens, and 600 parking spaces.
